Final Transcripts for Graduating Seniors

Final transcripts will be sent to the institution that you listed on your Future Plans Survey.  You do not need to email me or your counselor to ask them about your final transcript.  We will send them once grades and transcripts are finalized. This may take until the end of June, or beginning of July.

Technology Information

Seniors who would like access to their files will need to move them from I: drive or Google drive to a personal Google account (not the npenn account) or a flash or external hard drive as they won’t be accessible after July 15, 2020.  Student email accounts will also be disabled.

BE PROACTIVE!  Move anything you need now.

Students can use Google Takeout to move all files from their Google drive to another location.  See directions located here.

ALL HS STUDENTS must have 2-step verification setup.  Anyone whose account does not have 2-step verification will be locked out.  If this happens, they should contact npfamilytech@npenn.org for assistance in re-enabling their account & setting up 2-step.

Parking Applications

Parking applications for next year and are being accepted electronically.  Class of 2021 and 2022, Please check your North Penn emails for the link.  Similar to last year, seniors are eligible for a parking waiver if the application is received and complete before June 12.  Seniors will be given preference until the start of second semester.  Junior applications will be accepted, date and time stamped so they are awarded in the order in which they are received.  Any questions, please reach out to Mrs. Shaw, shawma@npenn.org, or Ms. Scott, scottmm@npenn.org.

Class of 2021

We hope you are all staying safe and healthy. Due to the current school closure, we will be putting all Senior Class Disney trip deposits and due dates on hold. We understand that this is a difficult and confusing time. Therefore, we will wait until we return to school to make any further decisions and continue to collect deposits.. The Disney Information packet is still available on our 2021 Disney Trip Google Classroom but deposit dates are not definite. Please contact Ms. Jermain (jermaime@npenn.org) or Mr. Frey (freycc@npenn.org) with any questions or concerns.

Important Updates

AP Exam Update:

We recognize that there is a myriad of confusion, questions, and unknowns during this time, but we did receive some updates from College Board today concerning the May AP exams. The entire document can be found here, but we have pulled out a few of the most important items below:

  • Traditional face-to-face exam administrations will not take place. Students will take a 45-minute online free-response exam at home.

  • Some students may want to take the exam sooner rather than later, while the content is still fresh. Other students may want more time to practice. For each AP subject, there will be 2 different testing dates. The full exam schedule, specific free-response question types that will be on each AP Exam, and additional testing details will be available by April 3.

  • AP curricula are locally developed and we defer to local decisions on how best to help students complete coursework. To be fair to all students, some of whom have lost more instructional time than others, the exam will only include topics and skills most AP teachers and students have already covered in class by early March.

  • Students will be able to take these streamlined exams on any device they have access to—computer, tablet, or smartphone. Taking a photo of handwritten work will also be an option.

There is additional information in the link above that will provide you a better sense of what this examination process will look like this year. At your leisure, please read through everything and let us know if you have any questions. As updates occur, we will communicate with all of you promptly. This is uncharted territory for all of us, but we can assure you we will do our best to support you through it all.

Thank you for your ongoing patience during this time; we are very grateful for such a wonderful community!
