Level Requirements:

Skills listed must be mastered before advancement to the next level.

Pre-Beginner

Rhythmic bobbing and exhaling, back and prone float (unassisted), flutter kick with kick board on back and prone (unassisted).

Beginner

Prone glide and kick, back glide and kick, over armstroke breathing to side, change of direction.

Beginner I

Prone glide and kick (20'), sit dive, over arm stroke (40') and bilateral breathing pattern.

Beginner II

Standing dive; over arm stroke (40 Yards), bilatral breathing pattern, backstroke (20')yards

 

Advanced Beginner

Continued skill development and elementary backstroke

Intermediate I

Continued skill development and sidestroke

Intermediate II

Continued skill development and breaststroke

Swimmer and Advanced Swimmer

Continued skill development and endurance

Stroke Improvement

Must complete Advanced Swimmer. Designed for non-competitve swimmers that would like to further improve strokes with endurance and work toward the lifeguarding course.
